The beginning of every school year is always exciting.  However, this year brings some extra excitement for my family and me.  It has been such a wonderful welcome from the ECI family.  Since being named as Principal, I have received numerous calls, texts, e-mails, and even a sign welcoming me and my family to town.  I would like to thank the community and all of the ECI stakeholders for this welcome as well as the opportunity to serve you and your children. 
 
The 2011-2012 school year promises to be exciting for many other reasons as well.  Our teachers have another opportunity to educate the children of Emanuel County and prepare them for success in life.  Working harder as well as smarter to make Adequate Yearly Progress will be priority one for our school.  ECI has done many wonderful things to improve instruction.  The results have been evident in test scores and graduation rate.  However, as our Annual Measurable Objectives increase, we must continue to use research based practices to increase our performance level.  Just like the Bulldogs on the football field, on the court, or on the diamond, we will strive for excellence in academics.
